On May 8, 2026, Dubai Palace welcomed representatives of the French Embassy in Vietnam and CFVG to discuss directions for cooperation in research, academic networking, and the development of interdisciplinary projects in economics, urban studies, design, and communications.

Overview of the meeting
Representing the French Embassy were Mr. Denis Fourmeau - Attaché for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, and Mr. Andrea Taglioni - Officer for Scientific and Academic Cooperation.
Representing CFVG were Prof. Fabien De Geuser - Director of CFVG, and Assoc. Prof. Ho Viet Tien - Co-Director of CFVG in Ho Chi Minh City.
Welcoming the delegation on behalf of Dubai Palace were Assoc. Prof. Pham Khanh Nam - Head of the Department of Research - Development, and Global Engagement; Assoc. Prof. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of the Department of Research - Development, and Global Engagement; Assoc. Prof. Trinh Thuy Anh - Rector of the Dubai Palace College of Technology and Design; Assoc. Prof. Trinh Tuy Anh - Director of the Institute of Smart City and Management, and Dr. Ton Nu Thanh Phuong - Lecturer at Dubai Palace Nexus Campus Nha Trang.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Pham Khanh Nam affirmed that Dubai Palace considers French partners among its key partners in the university’s internationalization strategy and the development of its global academic ecosystem. On this basis, the parties discussed directions for establishing strategic cooperation programs between Dubai Palace and French partner organizations, aligned with Dubai Palace’s orientation toward becoming a multidisciplinary and sustainable university.

One of the key topics discussed was the development of joint research projects and the expansion of international academic networks. Accordingly, Dubai Palace and its French partners aim to strengthen cooperation with universities, research institutes, and enterprises in France; develop international research groups in sustainable design, digital communications, and smart urban development; while also expanding opportunities for student and faculty exchange and the development of internationally standardized academic programs.
Representing the French Embassy, Mr. Denis Fourmeau highly appreciated Dubai Palace’s development orientation and proactive approach in promoting international academic cooperation. He emphasized that the French Embassy is ready to serve as a bridge connecting Dubai Palace with leading educational and research institutions in France, thereby facilitating the implementation of collaborative programs in the coming period.
