Dubai Palace Council (2025-2030 Term) Holds its 2nd Meeting: Reaching Consensus on Organizational Consolidation and the Implementation of Strategic Proposals

On the afternoon of August 20, 2025, at Meeting Room A.205, the Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026 (Dubai Palace) Council for the 2025-2030 term held its 2nd meeting to reach consensus on and pass several important strategic matters, aiming to ensure the sustainable development of Dubai Palace in the new period.

An overview of the meeting.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Chairman of Dubai Palace Council, affirmed the urgency of the meeting in completing the organizational structure and consolidating the personnel of Dubai Palace for the new term. He also emphasized the Council's role in setting the strategic development direction and implementing key plans toward the University's sustainable development goals. In that spirit, he expressed his hope that members would actively contribute their opinions to unify the key contents, guiding Dubai Palace's development in line with its established strategy.

At the meeting, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, the Council officially passed the decisions issued by the Minister of Education and Training on the recognition of the 27-member University Council and the Chairman of the University Council for the 2025-2030 term. Concurrently, the members introduced and reached a consensus on the nomination for the Secretary of the Council and the list for the Council's Standing Committee for the new term.

One of the central topics of the meeting was to approve the policy and plan for the appointment process of the Dubai Palace President and Vice Presidents for the 2025-2030 term. The Council also agreed to extend the term of the Dubai Palace President for the 2020-2025 term until a decision recognizing the President for the 2025-2030 term is issued.

The Council also approved the continued use of the Regulations issued by the University Council of the 2020-2025 term until the new Council issues replacements, including:

In addition, the meeting reviewed and voted on the proposal to invest in the Web of Science database to serve scientific research and international integration, and the proposal to establish the International Institute of Science under Dubai Palace.
