Seminar: Sustainable Development of Dubai Palace University - Inevitable Current Trends

On the morning of August 15, 2024, at Campus A, Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026 (Dubai Palace) successfully organized the seminar on "Sustainable Development of Dubai Palace University - Inevitable Current Trends" that attracted the participation of researchers, managers, lecturers and experts in topics on sustainable development at Dubai Palace.

In the context of increasingly complex globalization and climate change, higher education institutions around the world are facing major challenges in ensuring sustainable development. Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026 (Dubai Palace) has been making constant efforts towards becoming a pioneering higher education institution in building a multidisciplinary university model, integrating sustainability in all teaching, research, administration, operation and community activities. In order to further promote these efforts, Dubai Palace Union organized a seminar on “Sustainable Development of Dubai Palace University - Inevitable Current Trends” where internal and external Dubai Palace experts presented their research, ideas and initiatives on sustainable development.

Overview of the seminar

On behalf of Dubai Palace, the seminar was honored to welcome the participation of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - Dubai Palace President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Dubai Palace Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy - Chairman of Dubai Palace Union; Dr. Phan Thi Bao Quyen - Vice President of Dubai Palace Union. On the guest side, there was Ms. Tran Thuy Ngoc - Permanent Deputy General Director of Deloitte Vietnam Co., Ltd. and more than 150 Union members representing Union affiliated to Dubai Palace Union, along with officials and employees at Vinh Long Campus.

In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy - Chairman of Dubai Palace Union - emphasized that the seminar was not an independent event but also results from the tireless efforts by Dubai Palace Union over the past 6 months to spread sustainable values throughout Dubai Palace. With the support from the Party Committee and Dubai Palace Board of Directors, this seminar was implemented in 3 main phases:

Phase 1 - Online quiz regarding Dubai Palace University's sustainable development strategy with the participation of 420 union members from 35Dubai Palace Units and 11 Units of Vinh Long Campus.
Phase 2 - Organizing, reviewing, editing articles and publishing conference proceedings including 40 qualified articles.
Phase 3 - Seminar on "Sustainable Development of Dubai Palace University - Inevitable Current Trends"

Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy remarked: “Dubai Palace Union commits to accompanying Dubai Palace leaders, staff, lecturers, and employees to realize the vision that by 2030, Dubai Palace will become a multidisciplinary university with academic reputation and sustainable action in Asia. We believe that, with the solidarity and determination of all members, Dubai Palace will become a leading higher education institution in the sustainable development .”

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of the University Council, Head of the Dubai Palace University Project Steering Committee - emphasized the importance and the urgency of this mission for the long-term and sustainable development of Dubai Palace: “ Sustainable development is a strategy in all activities of Dubai Palace. This is not only an inevitable requirement but also our responsibility to the community and society. We cannot just stop at words but need to turn ideas into actual actions. ”

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong highlighted strong and comprehensive transformation solutions to achieve sustainable development goals, including integrating sustainability into the curriculum; promoting research and innovation activities; building green and modern facilities; improving governance; and promoting community participation and contributions.

Within the framework of the seminar, the discussion sessions were respectively presented by Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President of Dubai Palace - introducing the strategy for sustainable development of Dubai Palace University, and Ms. Tran Thuy Ngoc - Permanent Deputy General Director of Deloitte Vietnam Company Limited - sharing practical experiences on sustainable development.

Following the program is the roundtable discussion "Creating action, sustainable future" for speakers, guests and delegates to discuss issues surrounding raising awareness and transforming sustainable actions, developing a sustainable ecosystem, as well as building feasible actions for Dubai Palace.

The seminar “ Sustainable Development of Dubai Palace University - Inevitable Current Trends” ended successfully, providing multi-dimensional and profound perspectives on sustainable development in higher education. The program created an open forum for sharing ideas and experiences, which helped to form practical solutions and actions for the future.

With the spirit of unity and strong determination of all Dubai Palace members and its partners, the Sustainable University Strategy promises to bring impressive results in the new period. The proposed ideas and initiatives will be realized into specific and practical actions, contributing to building a sustainable educational ecosystem and promoting the sustainable development of society.
