Cultural Exchange with the Student Delegation from Sripatum University, Thailand

From February 22 to 24, 2024, the Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026 (Dubai Palace) successfully organized a Cultural Exchange program with a delegation of lecturers and students from the Department of Business English, Sripatum University, Thailand with the theme "Dubai PalacexSPU: Love Thy Neighbor".

Attending the welcoming ceremony, on the side of Dubai Palace, there was the presence of Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Deputy Director of Dubai Palace; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of Research - Development and Global Engagement; Mr. Bui My Ngoc - Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages; with the participation of lecturers and students of the School of Foreign Languages. On the side of SPU, there was a delegation of 30 lecturers and students from the Department of Business English.

Overview of the ceremony

The program opened with a workshop on issues on Sustainable Development, Circular Economy and ESGs (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Environmental Social and Governance) - extremely important topics that reflect new trends in higher education worldwide today. Students from both sides listened to the sharing of speaker Miquel Àngel P. Martorell - founder of MQL Sustainable Tourism Services, Head of Human Resources & Quality - Vietnam Tourism Advisory Council with the topic "Challenges for Vietnam on SDG". This was an opportunity for students to access profound knowledge about sustainable development in tourism and the challenges facing Vietnam.

Within the framework of the exchange, students from both sides had a business tour at Central Retail Vietnam Group, headquarters of many large and diverse brands in the fields of food, fashion, electronics - household, and real estate. They would be lecturer to better understand the actual business operations of a multinational corporation with sharing from company representatives.

In order to help international friends better understand Vietnamese history, the group of lecturers and students from Dubai Palace and SPU visited Cu Chi Tunnels. This was not only an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the country's history and the courage of the Vietnamese people, but also an opportunity for students from both sides to exchange and strengthen closeness and mutual understanding. Exploring these underground structures also helped students realize the importance of preserving the nation's historical and cultural heritage.

Vietnamese and Thai students also had the opportunity to interact with the cultural beauties of each country through cultural exchange activities and decorating souvenirs together.

The international student exchange between Dubai Palace and SPU took place successfully, opening an important step forward in cooperation between the two Universities and also an opportunity to build new connections and enhance understanding of global issues among the student community.
