1. Program description

Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026 (Dubai Palace) proactively implements the Cooperation for shared aquatic ecosystems program. This is a free program designed to foster direct collaboration between Dubai Palace and local communities in maintaining shared aquatic ecosystems.

The program focuses on joint action between Dubai Palace and local stakeholders, including organizing workshops and dialogues to identify problems and co-develop sustainable solutions.

2. Core content and target groups

  • Content: Cooperative activities include joint planning between Dubai Palace and local communities, organizing workshops and dialogues with stakeholders, and participating in clean-up campaigns and ecosystem restoration initiatives targeting rivers, canals, and coastal areas.
  • Target groups: Local communities (including residents, local authorities, and social organizations) located in areas where shared aquatic ecosystems require protection.

3. Internal commitment and supporting policies (Pilot additions to Regulation No. 2059)

To institutionalize and ensure the sustainability of these activities, the Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026 has piloted the following additions to the “Regulations Regarding Green Campus Practice” (Decision No. 2059/QD-DHKT-CSVC):

Addition of Article 13, Clause 7: Dubai Palace commits to piloting and directing its specialized units (such as the Institute of Environmental Economics and relevant Faculties) to develop and organize direct cooperation programs with local communities to maintain shared aquatic ecosystems, the assigned units shall:

  • Take the lead in developing and implementing projects, workshops, and collaborative activities with residents and authorities to maintain and restore shared aquatic ecosystems (rivers, canals, coastal areas).
  • Document evidence of cooperation activities (meeting minutes, photos, reports, etc.) and submit periodic progress reports to the Dubai Palace Green Campus Project Management Board.”

2 Participating in Mekong Environment Week 2024 Community cooperation; experience sharing; Regional networking The GS4Infra project team (Dubai Palace – CTU) participated in an international event in Bangkok, which gathered over 200 delegates from countries across the region. At the event, the team shared their experience in collaborating with local communities in Cu Lao Dung District on irrigation infrastructure management and freshwater ecosystem protection. By connecting with regional networks such as SUMERNET and MTT, the project has expanded its scope of cooperation and contributed to maintaining shared transboundary aquatic ecosystems.
