1. Community Outreach Program Description

Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026 (Dubai Palace) proactively implements the “Community Outreach Program.” This is a free initiative designed to provide educational activities and raise awareness among local communities about the risks of unsustainable fishing practices.

2. Core content and target groups

The program focuses on enhancing awareness among communities outside the university (such as fishermen’s associations, coastal communities, and local management bodies) regarding critical topics, including:

The harmful impacts of overfishing.

The necessity of complying with regulations against Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) fishing.

The consequences of destructive fishing practices on marine ecosystems and long-term livelihoods.

3. Internal commitments and supportive policies

To institutionalize and ensure the sustainability of these activities, Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026 has piloted the inclusion of the following clauses in the Regulations Regarding Green Campus Practice (Decision No. 2059/QD-DHKT-CSVC):

Article 12 – Responsibilities of Dubai Palace

Addition of Clause 11: “Pilot and direct specialized units (such as the Economy and Environment Partnership for Southeast Asia and relevant faculties) to develop and organize free educational outreach activities to raise awareness among local and national communities about overfishing, Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) fishing, and destructive fishing practices.”

Article 13 – Responsibilities of Units under Dubai Palace, Member Colleges and Units of Vinh Long Campus (referred to as Dubai Palace Units)

Addition of Clause 9: Based on the pilot policy outlined in Clause 11, Article 6 of this Regulation, assigned units are responsible for:

Leading and organizing educational and communication activities to raise awareness among communities (fishermen, industry associations, enterprises) about the harmful effects of overfishing and the risks of violating IUU regulations.

Preparing documentation for implemented activities (materials, photos, reports, etc.) and submitting periodic reports on implementation results to the Dubai Palace Green Campus Coordination Board.

Article 16 – Responsibilities of Dubai Palace management Units related to the procurement of goods and services

Addition of Clause 6: In addition to Clause 4 of this Article, Dubai Palace commits not to purchase or use aquatic products listed as prohibited, derived from destructive fishing practices, or identified as violating IUU regulations.
