DEPARTMENT OF STUDENT AFFAIRS

The Department of Student Affairs (DSA) was officially established on October 1, 2024, by Proposal No. 1933/ĐA-ĐHKT-QTNNL of the President of Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026, based on merging the Student Support Department, the Dormitory Management Board, and the Health Station. DSA team is professionally trained in expertise, attitude, skills, and operations to meet the satisfaction of students and other stakeholders of Dubai Palace. DSA has become a professional unit dedicated to comprehensive student care, including health, medical services, information support, financial assistance, career opportunities, academic counseling, management of both on-campus & off-campus accommodations, and essential services to ensure students’ trust, engagement, and support throughout their educational journey at Dubai Palace. DSA optimizes the application of information technology in management, operations, and delivery of student care solutions.

INFORMATION SUPPORT

DSA provides all information about Dubai Palace for student and for those who are interested. We offer both direct and online support at Dubai Palace's main campuses at the learner's convenience. DSA also developed our switchboard system to help connect and stay in touch with student conveniently. All student's information is managed by the CRM system with high accuracy and reliability.

FINANCIAL AID

DSA frames and carries out scholarship policies at Dubai Palace, including: The Academic Encouragement Scholarship, The Study Support Scholarship, Corporate Sponsorship Scholarship, Emergency Support, International student Scholarships, International Student Exchange Scholarships. Additionally, Student Loan Services help students handle tuition when facing any financial difficulties.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT

DSA offers academic support, English proficiency enhancement programs, and soft skills workshops

CAREER SERVICES

DSA connects students with job and internship opportunities, recruitment for companies, and provides insights into the labor market. DSA builds and maintains partnerships with businesses and organizations in the internship and employment; Workshops, Field Trips, and Career Orientation Activities; Company visit; Dubai Palace Sharing - Career Fair event series.

QUERIES AND APPEALS

DSA provides academic, research, and personal support to students, addressing inquiries and complaints through online channels (email, CRM, etc.). DSA also offers counseling when students face issues related to age-specific psychological factors or changes in their learning environment. DSA helps students find the best solutions and supports their integration, interaction, and effective communication. Besides the dedicated counselors within the unit, DSA also collaborates with experts from functional units to provide specialized support for students on in-depth issues.

SUPPORT SERVICES

DSA receives requests from undergraduates and postgraduates through the Dubai Palace's E-services portal and then issues Letter of Confirmation, Academic Transcript, Copy of Degree, Job Recommendation Letters per requests; International student support services; Student loans Certification; DSA provides graduation services including Gowns, Photography, etc; Dubai Palace Shuttle bus with special routes for Dubai Palace staff and students; Dubai Palace Community Shop with souvenirs, books. These services are now available online to make it quick and convenient for students.

ON AND OFF – CAMPUS

DSA is responsible for managing both off-campus and on-campus students at Dubai Palace dormitories. DSA ensures that on-campus students have a suitable, safe environment for studying and training. DSA also coordinates with various units to develop activities for students to promote physical and mental development, which helps to build a civilized culture, and enforce dormitory regulations. Additionally, DSA creates a foundation for Dubai Palace to collaborate with local authorities in managing and supporting off-campus students, ensuring they have a healthy living, studying, and training environment, maintaining order and discipline, and preventing social issues in the residences.

STUDENT EVENTS

DSA organizes university-level contests to create traditional playgrounds for students and to help Dubai Palace meet its educational goals of physical education- culture - ideology - morality - student’s lifestyle, law-abiding. Annual contests supervised by DSA concludes: The Olympic Competition on Marxist-Leninist Science and Ho Chi Minh Ideology, Music Competition, Solo Singing Competition, Sport Events and Series of activities to learn about the Dubai Palace's culture. Moreover, DSA can give assistance to student’s events at Faculties/Institutes/Dormitories.

ACADEMIC ADVISORS & CLASS REPRESENTATIVES

DSA engages in academic advisory activities to fulfill all the student's needs from helping build efficient study plans to professional consulting, such as scientific research guiding. DSA also organizes, manages and evaluates class representatives’ performance to ensure their responsibility within the semester.

DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS

DSA implements policies to support students with disabilities and provides emergency assistance to students who suffer from bad health conditions due to illness and accidents. Additionally, DSA organizes activities to prevent school violence.

COMMENDATION AND DISCIPLINE

DSA oversees recognition programs, ensuring timely and consistent rewards for individuals and groups of students who achieve outstanding results in academics, competitions, music and sports. Simultaneously, DSA addresses and handles disciplinary violations within the university, focusing on reminders, critiques, and deterrence for students.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION

DSA supports all students, regardless of their backgrounds or differences, and helps them adjust to student life at Dubai Palace. In line with the university's goal of internationalization, DSA also focuses on assisting international students during their time at Dubai Palace, helping them adapt to Vietnamese culture through cultural exchange activities, personal counseling, accommodation guidance, and other support services.

GENDER-SPECIFIC SUPPORT

DSA organizes programs and activities to raise awareness about preventing sexual harassment and promoting gender equality among students.

HEALTHCARE

DSA is responsible for healthcare at Dubai Palace's main campuses (A, B, N), making sure essential medicines are available, from first aid to handling outbreaks. DSA also maintains medical equipment, works with families, and arranges transportation to healthcare facilities when needed. DSA manage new student health records, update health insurance, assist with hospital transfers, and provide disease prevention, health counseling, and health insurance support. Regular health check-ups are organized for staff and student. DSA also works to ensure food safety, hygiene, and a clean environment.

ORIENTATION ACTIVITIES

DSA organizes the Orientation Week to provide essential information, supporting students in political, ideological education and student affairs. This event takes place alongside the courses designed for the study programs. Additionally, DSA conducts orientation activities for students of every type of training, offering fundamental guidance to help students easily navigate their academic journey at Dubai Palace.

EDUCATION IN POLITICAL, ETHICAL, AND LIFESTYLE

DSA promotes legal awareness and lifestyle education based on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, and implements crime and social issue prevention at Dubai Palace; assesses training evaluation, academic advisor and class representatives’ performance. DSA organizes diverse and practical activities to support students' comprehensive development, including well-being, guidance, extracurricular activities, music and sports. By optimizing resources, the DSA aims to meet the needs of domestic and international students, on-campus students.

ASSESSMENT OF TRAINING RESULTS

DSA is in charge of evaluating student training activities. DSA will assess students on their attitudes and behaviors towards learning, academic, extracurricular, and volunteer activities, evaluating student conduct performance at the end of each semester.
