The main focus is on dynamic, macroeconomic models. The training material is jointly developed by Thomas Sargent (a Nobel Prize winning macroeconomist) and John Stachurski (Australian National University) and currently supported by the Sloan Foundation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>INSTRUCTOR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Prof. John Stachurski, Research School of Economics, Australian National University<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">John Stachurski received his PhD from Melbourne University in 2002. His research focuses on stochastic dynamics, econometric theory, time series analysis and numerical and computational methods. Previously, he held positions at UCL in Belgium and Kyoto University in Japan. In 2007 he received the IJET Lionel W. McKenzie prize for contributions to economic theory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Attendees<\/span>: The workshop is particularly designed for lecturers and researchers, PhD candidates and graduate students. Applicants should have basic background in economics and mathematics.
