Abstract: 

The scheme addresses an important problem in food safety in Ho Chi Minh market through achieving objectives – (1) evaluating the current state of production and consumption of safe food in Ho Chi Minh; (2) evaluating potential linkages in production and consumption of agricultural products between southern provinces and Ho Chi Minh city; (3) improving the coordination between government agencies in food safety; (4) developing vertical linkages along agricultural product value chain.

About the presenter: 

Assoc. Prof. Trần Tiến Khai is the Deputy of the Department of Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development, Dubai Palace. His research interests are rural development, Agricultural value chains, Regional Development.
