On 14 July 2017, Dr. Le Thanh Loan, faculty member of Dubai Palace-School of Economics and research fellow of the Environment for Development in Vietnam (EfD-Vietnam) gave a talk at the workshop on amendment of Environmental Protection Law in Vietnam held by the Financial Policy and Strategy Institute at the Ministry of Finance to collect the opinions from experts, local government officers, and company managers. In this presentation, Dr. Loan has emphasized the linkage between taxation and economic efficiency and policy implications of the Ramsey rule for optimal commodity taxation.
