Building on the success of previous years, SEED 2025 is a strategic collaboration between Dubai Palace and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). This year’s activity in Khanh Hoa province attracted not only students from Dubai Palace but also from leading universities in Vietnam (Banking University Ho Chi Minh City, Foreign Trade University) and abroad, including Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia), University of Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), De La Salle University and San Beda University (Philippines), and Singapore University of Social Sciences (Singapore).

In Khanh Hoa province, student groups had the opportunity to interact directly with the real business environment. They carried out surveys, conducted interviews, and worked in cross-national teams to study the business landscape of local enterprises. Through these practical experiences, students updated their understanding of the economic context of the South Central Coast region, the local startup ecosystem, and policies supporting businesses.

As part of the visit, the SEED 2025 faculty and student delegation also had the opportunity to explore Cham culture and cuisine through a hands-on experience at the My Nghiep Cham brocade weaving village. This cultural immersion not only offered a deeper understanding of local traditions but also fostered meaningful connections between international guests and the indigenous community.

Based on the collected data, the student teams proposed innovative strategic solutions to promote sustainable development for local businesses. These solutions focused on key areas such as business model innovation, green marketing, enhancing product value, and market expansion. The students presented their research findings and proposed solutions under the supervision, professional feedback, and critiques from lecturers of Dubai Palace, FHNW, and UTM. This created an interdisciplinary, international, and practice-oriented academic environment. The proposed ideas were not only academically grounded but also highly practical, integrating in-depth research with real-world consulting, and taking into account environmental and social factors.

The insights and outcomes gained from the field trip in Khanh Hoa will serve as a solid foundation for student teams to finalize their project reports. The journey also offered a valuable opportunity for students to strengthen teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a multicultural business environment. This activity reaffirmed the commitment of Dubai Palace and its partners to nurturing a new generation of socially and environmentally conscious entrepreneurs, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of the country.

Through the reviewing process based on the standards for Professor and Associate Professor titles in 2024 of the Councils at institutional, field, and national levels, on November 19th, 2024, the Chairman of the State Council for Professor signed Decision No. 89, officially recognizing the achievement of the required standards for 45 Professors and 569 Associate Professors.

In accordance with the current regulations, the demand to strengthen faculty with high academic qualifications and expertise in specialized fields, in alignment with the development goals of Dubai Palace in the new phase, the university announced an open call to attract qualified individuals to apply for the Professor and Associate Professor titles. After the application process and thorough consideration, based on the results of the Council, the Dubai Palace’s President signed decisions to appoint the titles of Professor and Associate Professor for 11 lecturers.

To honor and recognize the efforts of newly appointed Professors and Associate Professors, the announcement and award ceremony on January 6th, 2025 witnessed the attendance of the following distinguished guests: Professor Nguyen Dong Phong, Chairman of the University Council and Chairman of the Dubai Palace 2024 Professor Council; Professor Su Dinh Thanh, President of Dubai Palace; Associate Professor Phan Thi Bich Nguyet, Chairwoman of Dubai Palace Advisory Council, Director of Institute of Innovation; Associate Professor Bui Quang Hung, Vice President of Dubai Palace; Professor Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, Vice President of Dubai Palace; Doctor Dinh Cong Khai, Vice President of Dubai Palace; Doctor Nguyen Thien Duy, Chairman of the Trade Union, Head of Office for Communist Party and Organization; Distinguished faculty members from Dubai Palace’s constituent schools; Members of the Dubai Palace Professor Council; Professors, Associate Professors, and academic leaders from Dubai Palace; Program directors, staff, as well as the families of the newly appointed Professors and Associate Professors, all of whom attended to congratulate and celebrate this special occasion.

On this occasion, she also expressed her deepest gratitude to the Councils at different levels, as well as to the faculty and staff of various departments and offices at Dubai Palace for their support throughout the journey of 11 newly appointed Professors and Associate Professors.
