Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t The College of Economics, Law and Government at the Dubai Palace ✅ Official Dubai Palace.com Homepage 2026 is pleased to announce the International Conference on “Approaches to the Twin Transitions: Digitalization and Climate Change in Developing Countries.” This conference aims to bring together scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore innovative approaches and solutions addressing the challenges posed by the dual transitions of digitalization and climate change in developing nations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t We invite the submission of original research papers and policy papers that offer insights into the economic, legal, and government aspects of the twin transitions. We welcome papers on any economic, law, government and social issues including, but not limited to, the following topics:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Almas Heshmati is Professor of Economics at the J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping University (Sweden). He was professor of Economics at the Sogang University, Korea University, Seoul National University, University of Kurdistan at Hawler, RATIO Institute, Stockholm and MTT Agrifood Research, Helsinki and Research Fellow at the World Institute for Development Economics Research (WIDER), The United Nations University, Helsinki during 2001-2004. From 1998 until 2001, he was an Associate Professor of Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. He has a Ph.D. degree from the University of Gothenburg (1994), where he held a Senior Researcher position until 1998. His research interests include agricultural economics, development economics, energy economics, industrial organization, labor, globalization, income distribution, productivity, efficiency, growth, health care and capital structure. He is member of the Scientific Committee of the International Conference on Panel Data. His publications include papers in the Agricultural Economics, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Applied Economics, Applied Financial Economics, Econometric Reviews, Economic Theory, Empirical Economics, European Journal of Operational Research, Global Economy Journal, International Journal of Industrial Organization, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Economic Surveys, Journal of Productivity Analysis, Journal of the World System Research, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Scandinavian Journal of Educational Research, and Structural Change and Economic Dynamics.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t Professor Niloufer Selvadurai is a technology law scholar at Macquarie University. Niloufer researches and teaches on the effective governance of emerging and evolving technologies. A feature of her work is interdisciplinary collaborations with computing, engineering and finance.\u00a0 Niloufer is the Director of Research & Innovation at the Macquarie Law School<\/a>, a Co-Director of the DataX Research Centre<\/a>, and the Program Leader for ‘AI and Law’ at the\u00a0 Centre for Applied AI.<\/a> Formerly, she was Deputy Dean, Macquarie Law School.\u00a0 Qualifications include a BA LLB (First Class Hons) from the University of Sydney, a PhD from Macquarie University and Admission as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Niloufer’s present research projects relate to digital finance, data protection, cybercrime law and liability for AI generated harm.<\/p> Former multinstitutional research projects include an AI governance project with AMP, and information technology projects with Malaysia, Vietnam, Belgium, Greece and the United Kingdom. Niloufer has advised government and industry on a variety of issues relating to AI, digital privacy, cybercrime, digital finance and telecommunications law and has been co-author of Australia’s submission to the World Congress of AIPPI on multiple occasions. Niloufer teaches technology law and intellectual property law, and is a member of the Macquarie University Human Research Ethics Committees (Medical Sciences). Prior to joining Macquarie, Niloufer practised as a Solicitor in the media, technology and telecommunications group at Ashurst and worked at Allens. Niloufer is the Telecommunications Editor of the\u00a0Australian Journal of Competition and Consumer Law\u00a0<\/em>and was the\u00a0Editor-in-Chief of the\u00a0International Journal of Technology Policy Law,\u00a0<\/em>2009-2021.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Professor Ulrike Grote currently is director of the Institute for Environmental Economics and World Trade at Leibniz University of Hannover (since 2006). She studied in agricultural economics at University of Kiel (and PhD 1994), and worked at the OECD in Paris and the Asian Development Bank in Manila (1995-1997). From 1998 until 2006, Ulrike Grote was senior research fellow at the Center for Development Research (ZEF) in Bonn (Habilitation 2004) and deputy professorship at University of Bonn. In October 2006, she was appointed as professor at the Leibniz University of Hannover. Her research focuses on environmental and development research, with focus on South-East Asia and Africa; certification and trade; migration, agricultural policy.<\/p> As former Member of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU), she coauthored \u201cOur Common Digital Future\u201d (2019) and \u201cRethinking Land in the Anthropocene\u201d (2020). She widely published on environmental and development concerns.
