\n\/2021, YEAR IN REVIEW\/ SMARTCITY+ – The 2nd International Design Competition
\nIt is the first time in human history, we have no idea what the world will be like in the next 30 years (the writer Yuval Harari). The first half of the 21st century will be the most important in the history of the human race because of all the challenges we face from an amazing leap in technology and the urban challenges in a rapidly urbanizing and globalized world. In this phenomenon, smart cities will not just be a trend but also become a must-have. But how will smart cities still deal with urban challenges and how can integrated technology and other fields be applied to solve the urbanization crises?
\nOn the line of SMARCITY+ Even series, ISCM in collaboration with partners held the SMARTCITY+ – The 2nd International Design Competition aims to call for ideas to propose designs to enhance urban identity towards smart cities. Ideas need the integration of technology, materials, aesthetics, and spatial organization combined with research on local cultural factors, adaptability, globalization, and vision for the future urban environment.
