Nguyen Hung Son &#8211; Why economists should use Data Science"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>On the afternoon of Thursday, September 22, 2022, the Faculty of Mathematics &#8211; Statistics held a talk with Prof. Nguyen Hung Son (Warsav University, Poland) with the topic &#8220;Why should economists use Data Science?&#8221;. Attending the seminar were more than 30 teachers who are lecturers of universities in Ho Chi Minh City along with more than 250 students of the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sems.dotv.vn\/Uploads\/2022\/1663843936190.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Overview of the talk by Prof. Nguyen Hung Son<\/em><\/p>\n<p>At the talk, Prof. Nguyen Hung Son explained why economists should use more Data Science tools and techniques. GS has analyzed the two fields in detail and compared them. GS&#8217;s talk also answered 2 questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How should two sciences be compared: Economics and Data Science?<\/li>\n<li>What is the nature of scientific research in economics?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>GS. Nguyen Hung Son also introduced a research field called &#8220;recommendation system&#8221; as a typical example.
