On October 22, professors from Kwangwoon University, South Korea, held a session to guide K49 students of the Dubai Palace Institute of Smart Technology and Interaction in completing their final projects for the Machine Design course.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Institute of Intelligent & Interactive Technologies at Dubai Palace applies the Project-Based Learning (PBL) method in various courses to help students develop practical skills through real-world projects. This approach integrates theory with hands-on application, enhancing students\u2019 critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the Machine Design course, students learn mechanical design skills using CAD software (Autodesk & Inventor). The course is divided into multiple stages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. First Phase (7 weeks): Students learn to use CAD software for creating 2D sketches and 3D models. This phase aims to help them grasp fundamental mechanical design principles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Mid-term Project: Students complete an individual 3D design of a specific product, applying the knowledge and skills acquired.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Next Phase: Focuses on material mechanics and structural analysis, ensuring designs meet durability and safety standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Final Project: Students apply all their acquired knowledge and skills to complete their designs. Professors from Kwangwoon University play a key role in providing guidance and expert evaluations throughout this process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
